February 23, 2015 - The repercussions of refinery explosion can be seen in increasing gasoline prices. Third week that regular has made another large jump above last week's price.

The average price in California for regular gasoline increased 16.1-cents from the previous week. The average statewide price for regular was $2.959. Mid-grade and premium prices increased as well.

The national average for self-serve regular is at $2.332, up 5.8 cents from the previous week.This is 62.7 cents lower than the price of regular in California.
